Client of The Month

Congratulations Jodi. Jodi has worked extremely hard these past few years. Originally Jodi came to FAST Personal Training because she found herself unable to walk up several flights of stairs with a few bags of groceries. Ashamed and discouraged she needed to do something about it. Within the first several months Jodi began receiving compliments, "your back looks lovely", "do you workout", and the list went on. In such a short time, Jodi lost approximately 15lbs dropped several pants sizes and looked fabulous. Jodi decided she wanted to keep training just to make sure the weight would stay off, and she liked the balance the workouts were bringing to her life. Maintaining was the goal until later this year (2011) she got the "itch" to do her first figure competition. Deciding to get a head start for 2012 competition season, and to also motivate her family to get healthy, Jodi amped up her nutrition and the workouts came along for the ride. In the last 2 months, Jodi had worked out six days per week (going from sitting on the couch 2 years ago) and not once did she shy away from her healthy eating plan she adopted along the way. We are proud to say, Jodi has lost approximately 30lbs and has gone from clothing size 8/10 to 0/2. That is an awesome feat, and truly and inspiration to others.
There are several others that have come a long way this year, since adopting exercise and healthy eating into their lifestyle while working with FAST Personal Training. So we want to also congratulate Rebecca, losing over 40lbs, competing in her first ever competition this past November and won the entire show earning her pro card with OCB organization. Congratulations Rebecca.
Congratulations To Dr. Smith for losing over 80lbs within the past 3 years and have kept it off, still maintaining healthy eating and exercise routine. Again Congratulations to you all.
Check back soon for their transition photos.
Performance Gait Analysis: $199
Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 11:34AM We are excited to say that FAST Personal Training has added a new element to the services we provide. No longer do you need to be a superior athlete or Olympic caliber athlete to obtain a Gait Analysis.
FAST Personal Training is now offering, in studio, a full gait analysis to those wanting to be able to move more efficiently while avoiding injuries.
Do you commonly face foot injuries? Back pain? Hip pain?
Have you been running the same times for the past several years, assuming you have hit your peak?
Do you find yourself hobbling days after hard training sessions feeling like you injured something?
Do your joints ache at the thought of training? Are you frustrated?
For years we only thought of Olympic caliber athletes and top collegiate athletic programs utilizing gait analysis to do video motion capturing and compiling still still images, to then analyze the information to make athletes faster and stronger based on the findings of the analysis. Well, times have changed. To find out more about the process as well as pricing click the link below.

NPC Bill Grant Figure and Bodybuilding 2010 Classic
Sunday, August 8, 2010 at 02:11PM Congratulations Jill. I worked very hard this past year after having a baby in March of 08;2.5 years ago. Being fit and active all my life I found it very easy to lose the 41lbs I had gained while pregnant. More shockingly, when I left the hospital I had lost all the weight except 15-lbs. By May of 08 all the weight was gone and I was springing back into competition, well at least I thought I was. By October 2009 I did my first competition since gaining back control of my body. I placed a disappointing 5th. I thought I looked good, was in shape and ready to go. I then looked in the mirror and saw that I had a lot more work to do, and this was not as easy as I thought it was going to be. Never before did I ever find myself in the gym doing sit-ups. I mainly relied on my genetics, cardio and good diet. How could I be so wrong? Well 8-months later (July 17th 2010), I put on a new suit, cut my hair, and dab some make-up on and strutted my 4-inch heels across the stage with confidence and poise in 100 degree heat outside where the venue took place. With a line up of young and veteran talent I found myslef not only winning my figure class, but taking the whole show for the first time in my career.
The leanest I have ever been(not the smallest) it truly shows. The one question I always get is what do you do? Here is my answer, hard work! When most are out drinking, I simply request a water with a twist of lime. When most are out ordering food or celebrating holidays, I simply pack my food and bring it along. When most are sick, too tired, dont have time to exercise, Im lacing my shoes up and out the door at 5am for a 5 mile run even though I just did a torturing speed workout the night before. There are no excuses.... the 'hard' is what makes it good.
No one particular exercise works best! Commitment, dedication, resisting temptation, and believing in yourself! That is what I do 7-days a week 365 days a year; I work hard and I do not take any short cuts.
Jill Mock
After being stoked this past year and qualify for nationals at the Bill Grant Classic I was riding my white horse the rest of that year. I went on to compete at Maryland states placing 3rd and then rounding out my year at Deleware States placing 2nd.
Coming into 2011, my nemesis, the cold, anything below 65-degrees and you will find me running layered down in sweats, gloves and hat, as most of my clients would simply laugh at just site of me. I came off such a great 2010 I figured I would test myself and see where I stood. So, even with the inhumane cold whether that graced the Baltimore/Washington DC areas I picked back up my training and got back on my diet and in the distance I had my sights set on the 2011 Arnold Classic. By far this would be the biggest stage I would have competed on. My hopes were high, but in the back of my mind I know my training was not how i would have liked it to be, but I pressed on anyway. Stepping on stage Friday night, I made the cuts to the next day. Sat morning I ended up placing 9th in my class. Good experience, bad whet=her, lesson learned
I later went on to compete in the Pittsburgh pro classic in may 2011 among some of the same judging panel and placed 5th. This July I step on a big stage in Connecticuit. No excuses, hard work.
Alyssa
Sunday, February 1, 2009 at 05:10PM Alyssa B: "After years of trying my own diets and "strict" nutrition plans (even marathon training!), I was at the end of my rope. Jill gave me a new plan that was so effective, I dropped a dress size in the first couple weeks. Her workout program has helped me get into the best shape of my life. I started as a size 12 and after losing 25lbs am now a size 6. Her advice does work and I love my new routine. Thanks Jill!"
In April Alyssa reported: "Cherry Blossom (10-Miler) complete! 1:36, which is 9:41 pace. Best time ever!!!" Then in May, Alyss completed the Frederick Half-Marathon in 2:04, 26 minutes faster than her previous best.

Congratulations to Alyssa. After stumbling and hitting some bumps, Alyssa contacted Jill to conjure up the right recipe in aiding her fitness and running. Over the course of 6 weeks Alyssa worked hard, entered a few local races, hitting some PRs along the way, and then this past Sunday April 11, Alyssa finished the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler for the second year in a row. This year she finished just under 1:30, a little under 9 minute mile pace compared to last year's 1:36 (9:41 pace) And her greatest feat that she knew Jill would be proud of was that she ran the entire distance without walking. Way to go Lyssa. Keep up the great work.
Lyric
Friday, May 30, 2008 at 05:00PM Lyric has been training for the past 12 weeks with Jill, and has lost 26 pounds and has gone from a size 14 to a size 8 since she started in November 2007, despite occasionally missing training due to snow in the winter. Pictures to follow soon!
Renita
Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 05:00PM Renita was training with Jeremy for approximately one year. During her time of training, Renita lost a tremendous amount of body fat and stopped taking blood pressure medication. On two separate visits to the doctor, Renita's physician lowered her diabetes medication to a very minimal dosage. She has greatly appreciated the time that she spent with Jeremy, and is sad that she is moving out of state. Says Renita, "Everything is going well and I have met some of my goals. I am taking less medications. I just went to the doctor yesterday and she was very happy about my progress. She stated that I am too healthy to have to come see her every 3 months, so she switch me to every 6 months. She is very happy with my progress!"
Dr. Smith
Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 05:00PM With Jill's help, Natasha lost 26 overall pounds, lost 18% body fat, lost 47 pounds of fat, and gained 21 pounds of metabolism-boosting muscle. Natasha also completed her first half-marathon, which was one of the biggest achievements in her life. View Natasha's after photos.

Dr Smith was on a roll after completing her first Marathon back in 2008 as a reward to herself for losing 26 pounds. Dr Smith continued to workout on her own up until this past year when developing some persistent knee pain, which eventually began to take a toll on her weight loss goals, and eventaully her fitness was put on hold. After undergoing some therapy, Dr. Smith, once again, called Jill to help get her body back on track. In January of 2010 Dr. Smith started back on her fitness track, and to date she has shaved off 15 pounds, is nearly pain free with no limitation in exercising, has lost over 12% body fat and has her eyes set on her second marathon this coming October. She is in her best shape since 2008 and is continuously improving.
